BKT-4060-4060-CN.1 PVC Bracket 

Open brackets, in which the brace stands apart from the arm and leg and leaves the corner empty, have long been used to give eaves a lighter, more airy look than solid supports. They remain a recognizable detail on classic homes from the Coastal U.S. to the Caribbean. BKT-4060-4060-CN.1 brings the open bracket to cellular PVC. It is non-structural, like most HB brackets, but faithful to the design and proportioning of a traditional wood bracket. 

Open-corner design with stepped ends 

BKT-4060-4060-CN.1 is built on the same open main body as BKT-3021-5-8-3: a straight top arm and wall leg, joined by a broad curved brace that leaves an open space in the corner between them. The ends give this version its own character. The arm finishes in a square tip, with two clean steps cut into its underside, and the foot of the leg steps once, angles back, and ends in a small squared toe.

Main body and end profiles 

This product’s SKU, BKT-4060-4060-HP-4061-7-VP-4061-5, records the end profiles used: HP-4061-7 shapes the tip of the arm and VP-4061-5 shapes the foot. Because HB builds its brackets from a library of thousands of main bodies and end profiles, the same open body can be ordered with other ends; ask the HB team what is possible. 

Material, installation and finishing 

Cellular PVC and HB Elements’ patented manufacturing process give this bracket its crisp, consistent detail. A cleat and adhesive are packed with it for fixing, and it is ready for paint after minimal prep. Many owners paint their brackets to match the trim and to cover caulk lines and filled nail holes, though paint is not required. Treat BKT-4060-4060-CN.1 as an ornamental element only; it is not a structural support.
